Bevan Hall was filled to capacity for the Hospital Valentine's Tea

Saugeen Memorial Hospital Auxiliary held its first ever Valentine's Tea on Saturday, February 6th at St. Paul Anglican Church's Bevan Hall and it was a resounding success.

Tea, coffee and decadents sweets were served to over 100 guests, who also bought 'goodies' from the bake table to take home.

Volunteers are the key to the Auxiliary

There were also four lucky winners of raffle prizes ...

  • April Howlett - a donated quilt from Bedding & Things at the Southampton Market

  • Jane Merkus - a quilted throw from Bedding & Things

  • Vicky Pickup - a Massage by RMT Michelle Hannigan of Southampton Chiropractic

  • John Divinski - $50 gift certificate from Martin's Home Hardware

Lynda Eustice also won $164 from the 50/50 draw.

"Our first Valentine's Tea was a great success thanks to our many dedicated volunteers," said Audrey Perrott, Tea Convenor, "those businesses who so generously donated prizes and, of course, everyone who donated their time and talents with their baking."

A special Valentine of over $1,300 was raised for the Saugeen Memorial hospital.
