Although no final tally is yet in,  the annual Rotary Winterama fundraiser was again deemed a success.

Each year, Rotary holds the Winterama event to raise funds for local schools and youth programs.

Winter activities included skating, curling and showshoeing but, unfortunately, the winter conditions this year did not allow cross-country skiing or snowmobiling.

Local elementary school students throughout the region participated in what was a week-long fundraiser for the opportunity to also be part of the 'Share Back' program where each school receives a percentage of the dollars raised.

Rotarian, Ron Moss said that the event again had several local sponsors, including, Bruce Power, OPG, Bruce Telecom, BDO Dunwoody, Meridian Credit Union, Royal LePage, Staples, BMO and others.
