Cast of the Vagina Monologues

The Kincardine Theatre Guild presented two showings of Eve Ensler's play, the Vagina Monologues, in a fundraiser for the Women's House Serving Bruce and Grey.

The play has been a constant hit since its inception in 1996 when it first ran Off Broadway and the moved on to the international stage.

In 1998, Ensler and others, launched V-Day, a global non-profit movement that has raised over $100 million for groups, such as the Women's House, that work to end violence against women and girls.

The Kincardine production held over two nights raised $2,600 for the local Women's House with the Bruce Steakhouse rounding out the evenings by offer half price appetizers to ticket holders.

"We are very grateful for the continued support of the communities that we serve," says Tiffany Love, Community & Fund Development Coordinator for the Women's House.
