KDSS spring arts show opens this Thursday night

There will be 'Something Old and Something New' at the Kincardine District Secondary School's annual spring arts show which opens Thursday, May 21, in the school's auditorium.

Cati Van Veen, one of the organizers of the event, says about 100 students are involved, including actors, dancers, vocalists, instrumentalists, and stage crew.

Among the performers is KDSS' own police officer, Kevin Martin, playing guitar with a rock band, and the artists are centering their acts on a '1980s wedding' theme.

The show runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 21-23, at 8 p.m., with a pre-show visual arts display at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. The dress rehearsal is Thursday at 9:30 a.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students; available at the KDSS office or at the door. Admission is free for children aged 12 and under.
