The Planeteers is a group of young high-school women who not only talk about making a difference to the environment, they are committed to action.

The group that attends Saugeen District Secondary School (SDSS) in Port Elgin, Saugeen Shores, are planning a mini-makeover for the town. On May 14th, their "20 minutes. 20 items. A Difference" will kick into high gear as they attempt to make changes.

Anyone can become involved and walk the path that these teens are willing to take. Choose a part of the community that needs a make-over (a.k.a. clean-up) and let the Planeteers know at
a.difference04@gmail.com

They would also appreciate before and after photos, where possible, as they are going to be keeping a 'diary of improvement'. This is about making the community an even better place in which to live.

The group has also designed T-shirts featuring the Planeteers logo based around the concepts of reduce, re-use and re-cycle. The 'unisex' shirts, made of organic cotton and printed locally, are available in regular fit or tapered in almost any size. They are $15 each and all the monies go back into Planeteer programs for teens.
