Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario is thrilled to announce an outstanding milestone for this year’s Walk for Parkinson’s Disease (PD).
The fundraising event has raised a remarkable $476,195 in support of those impacted by Parkinson’s disease in Southwestern Ontario. This outstanding achievement reveals the unwavering commitment of the sponsors, 193 volunteers, and over 1,600 participants dedicated to creating a brighter future for the local PD community.
On September 9th and 10th, participants from 14 locations in the region walked to raise funds and awareness for Parkinson’s disease. Family and friends gathered to enjoy a day of fun activities, entertainment, and refreshments to donate and fundraise. All funds raised stay local to provide vital services and programs, in addition to funding for research, education, and advocacy initiatives that impact the 10,000+ people living with Parkinson’s in Southwestern Ontario.
In the face of adversity, communities have come together with unparalleled strength and compassion, demonstrating that uniting for a common cause can achieve remarkable achievements. The organization is moved by the generosity and enthusiasm displayed by everyone involved.
