Despite a cold wind, the 4th annual Family Day weekend ‘Snow Mountain’ hosted by Port Elgin BIA Coulter Parkette on Green Street was, without doubt, a delight for young and the young-at-heart.
The ‘snow mountain’ created by the Town over two days was as high as traffic light standards and became a thrilling downhill slide.

The giant ‘snow mountain’ with its luge-like slide attracted both kids and parents as they shot down to the bottom on sliders provided by the BIA.
Many also tried their artistic hand at painting with food dye in squirt bottles that left the snow-mountain in a rainbow of colour resembling a ‘Pollock’ canvas.
Further down the street was an on-going street-hockey game and a fire-pit where toasted marshmallows became s’mores.
