Stunt Driving
On September 29th, 2018 at 10:45pm an officer on patrol observed a vehicle being driven
in an alarming manner on Goderich Street near Gustavus Street. The officer observed
the vehicle to accelerate quickly around a corner losing traction causing the vehicle to
drift. During this maneuver the driver continued to accelerate the vehicle through the
corner.
A 31 year old Municipality of Kincardine man has been charged with Stunt Driving and
his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Impaired Driving
On September 30th, 2018 at 5:30pm an officer conducting mobile speed enforcement
observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 21 near the BruceSaugeen
Townline. The officer conducted a traffic stop and observed the driver to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The driver was arrested and transported to
the station for a breath test.   A 24 year old man from the Municipality of Kincardine has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operating a Motor Vehicle with over 80mgs of Alcohol in his blood.

Update to Press Release on September 12
A Hanover man has been arrested by members of the Hanover Police Service on an
outstanding warrant stemming from an incident in Saugeen Shores on September 12th,
2018.

On September 11th Saugeen Shores officers attempted to arrest the man for possession of
a controlled substance, when he fled in his vehicle to escape custody. At the time of the
escape, the vehicle was observed to be operated in a manner that was dangerous to the
public.

On September 12th the vehicle that was operated by the man was located upside down,
abandoned, in a shallow creek in Saugeen Township.
The 31 year old man has been charge d with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Escape Lawful Custody, Fail to Remain and Fail to Report an Accident.
