A sad reminder of what might have been

To the Editor:

Every time I see the announcement of another initiative by the Nuclear Innovation Institute, I am sure that I join the majority of Southampton residents in thinking about what might have been. What a crying shame!
Oh well, we still have an aging old residence at the prime corner of High and Victoria streets, that no one knows what to do with, as a reminder of days gone by — and a lack of foresight by a self-serving few who prefer to live in the past instead of the future with all of its promises of advancement for the present and future generations.
