With the closing of senior centres, churches and activities, seniors are feeling especially cut-off from friends and vulnerable. In addition, many have lost their friends and, with them, goes similar interests and chances to join in conversation meaningful to their age group.
A grass-roots group in Southampton has decided to take matters into their own hands. Since they can no longer meet indoor at their various venues, they have decided to move outside into a park setting for a Meet ‘n’ Greet.
Tomorrow, Thursday June 24th, single seniors are invited to bring their coffee to Rotary Perkins Park in Southampton and enjoy a time of conversation and camaraderie.
