A special Remembrance of those who made the supreme sacrifice

November has always been a special month when it comes to remembering and honouring veterans who fought in WWII and other war initiatives where Canadians have served, either in battle or peace-keeping missions.

This year, 2022, Saugeen Shores Men’s Probus Club, will be hosting a special Remembrance meeting where everyone is invited.

Local historian, G. William (Bill) Streeter, has researched all those young men of the 160th Battalion from this area who died in WWI and will be presenting their encapsulated life stories in memoriam.

The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1st at the Port Elgin Royal Canadian Legion.
