A sure sign of summer in Southampton

Although the weather doesn’t feel much like summer, everyone knows it is just around the corner when G. C. Huston Public School holds its annual Fish Fry and Art Show.

School gym was filled to capacity

On Wednesday, June 12th, Saugeen Shores Fire Department again took on the task of cooking the fish and fries for more than 360 people while parents and volunteers provided salads and helped out with serving.

Along with dinner, was an art show and fundraising sale that featured art created by the students.  Artworks ranged from paintings to sculptural creations, stoneworks to papier-mâché and more.  Without a doubt, art plays a key role in fostering imagination and G. C. Public School students seem to have it in spades.
