On February 14th 2021 at approximately midnight Saugeen Shores Police received a 911 call from a residence located in Port Elgin.
Police attended the residence and spoke with the home owner and a male outside. Police were advised that the call was an accident and that no emergency was taking place. Police advised both parties that they needed to speak with the other occupants of the home to ensure no one needed assistance.
Police determined that three people at the residence did not reside at the home and were in breach of the current Stay at Home Order.
It was disclosed to Police that all parties from out of town also resided in separate residences. Police spoke with everyone in attendance and were advised that there was no emergency.
As a result of the incident a 41-year-old female from Saugeen Shores, a 53-year-old female from Guelph, a 52-year-old female from Guelph and a 55-year-old male from Guelph were all issued tickets for Failing to Comply with an Order made during a declared emergency.
Saugeen Shores Police want to remind everyone that the Stay at Home Order is in effect until February 16th 2021.
