Accused released multiple times – when does it all end?

Update #7 On November 19th 2023 the accused was arrested by the Ontario Provincial Police at a residence on Bruce Road 13 and charged with several offences including Break and Enter. He was held in custody for a Bail Hearing where he was once again released with no new conditions.
The accused was released from custody on November 16th 2023. He was placed on a Release Order with a curfew.

Update #6
On August 31st 2023 at 5:12am Police were contacted regarding a suspicious male in the area of Tyendinaga Drive. Police arrived and located a male known to them a few streets over. It was also known that the male was on a court ordered curfew.
As a result a 29-year-old of Bruce County was arrested for Failure to comply with Release Order and Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance. He was taken into custody.
Police are asking everyone in the Mohawk Dr area to check their vehicles and report any thefts.

Saugeen Shores Police were called to the area of Ottawa Avenue for vehicle break and enter in progress. Officers attended the area quickly and were able to locate the suspect who was wanted on a Bench Warrant.
As a result of this investigation a 29-year-old male of Bruce County has been charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 substance – Carry concealed weapon – Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose – Possession of property obtained by crime – Failure to comply with release order.
He was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing.
We are asking anyone residing in the Ottawa Ave and surrounding area to check your vehicles for any missing items.
He was released by the courts later that day on a Release Order.
UPDATE #4
July 8th 2023 the same male was arrested by Saugeen Shores Police and charged with Possession of Property Obtained by crime. He was released with a future court date.
UPDATE #3
On June 23rd 2023 the accused was found guilty of the below charges:
-Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
-Possession of Firearm/ammo while on Prohibition
-Break and Enter x3
– Operetion while Prohibited
– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
– Theft Under $5000
10 other charges were withdrawn by the courts.
He was given 210 days pre-sentence custody and 12 months probation. He has since been released from custody.
UPDATE #2:
On March 13th 2023 the accused was arrested by Owen Sound Police Service for Failure to Comply with Release order x 2 and Failure to comply with probation order. He was held for a bail hearing and was remanded back into custody.
UPDATE #1:
On March 10th 2023 the accused was released from custody by the courts. He was placed on a Release Order to reside in Owen Sound and be in his residence at all times. The below charges are still before the courts.

-ORIGINAL INCIDENT-
Commercial Break and Enters

At approximately 7:40am on Sept 30th 2022 Police were dispatched to two commercial Break and Enters that had occurred overnight.

  • Police attended a local Restaurant located on Goderich Street and observed the drive- thru window to be smashed. Staff advised that three cash registers and cash had been stolen.
  • Police then attended a Dentist Office located beside the restaurant and observed that the rear door had been forced open. Dental supplies and instruments had been stolen.  CCTV footage was available and a suspect was identified.
  • Later in the afternoon police were called regarding a suspicious male sleeping in a park on Mill St. Police arrived and identified the male as the same from the Break and Enters. The man was placed under arrest and a quantity of Canadian currency, a spring loaded switch blade and a small amount of Fentanyl was located on him.
  • The accused was also linked to a Break and Enter and theft that occurred on a boat docked at the Southampton Marina earlier in the month.
  • The same accused had just been arrested on September 28th 2022 for theft of a Taxi from the town of Port Elgin, as well as several other charges. He was held at that time for Bail Hearing and released on September 29th with a future court date.
As a result of this investigation a 28-year-old man from Bruce County has been arrested and charged with several more criminal offences. He was held in custody for a Bail hearing on October 1st 2022.
