Activity Assistance Program gives more children the opportunity to participate

Heading into a new school year, Bruce County is supporting children from low-income families in the participation of extracurricular activities, school nutrition programs, and cultural and skill-building activities through the Child Activity Assistance Program (CAAP).

CAAP is a fund available for families with a gross income of less than $49,466.00. The fund assists families with the cost of activities such as school trips, school nutrition programs, extra-curricular activities, arts and cultural programs, Scouts/Embers, etc. The subsidy is available for dependent children, living at home, who are under the age of 18. The maximum CAAP funding is $500 per year, per child.
