The annual Huron Shore Run is just around the corner on June 3rd (2023) in Southampton.
The event is held annually in support of the local Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation keeping health care close to home and groups such as Rotary for community projects, and athletic youth groups such as the Saugeen Track & Field Club and the Saugeen Shores Lifesaving Club.
Whether you want to run, walk or roll, the FUNdraising event is all about giving back to the community.
For those who are a little more serious about the run, it is also an Athletics Ontario Sanctioned Race toward marathon qualification.
Once the run, walk or roll event is over, it’s time to take in the Health and Wellness Fair hosted by the Huron Shore Run and the Town of Saugeen Shores and located in the Southampton Coliseum. The free, family-friendly event focuses on sharing local health and wellness providers with the community and where you can enjoy a healthy snack before medal presentations.
If you’re not into running or walking the Lake Huron shoreline route, you can still help out with a donation, knowing that you are giving back and helping others.
