There is no doubt that the ‘Beach Preservers’ of Port Elgin are frustrated and angry over the proposed beach revitalization project.
Despite asking for clarification of the proposed development, the group says that it has received no feedback from the Town.
They have consistently been attending Saugeen Shores Town Council meetings to express their opposition to the proposed development by a group of investors that will see the Port Elgin main beach commercialized with a retail development.
At Monday night’s Committee of Whole meeting (Dec. 9), Beach Preservers, expressed their concerns once again over the proposed revitalization project.
Although Council’s typical schedule allows for two weeks between Committee of Whole and Council meetings, in this case, the public will have a longer period of time to review and provide feedback on the proposal and draft lease.
