The funds raised from this year’s virtual event will go toward the purchase of new ECG machines for the hospital. The overall goal of the event is to raise $100,000 to fill this need.

Best Choice team hopes to raise enough funds so that each of the 13 members will have $1,000 in fundraising which would then get all the members into the grand prize draws, which include prizes such as $10,000 towards your rent or mortgage, gas for a year, groceries for a year or a $2,000 Saugeen Shores staycation.

The goal of this year’s event is to allow participants to ‘change a life’ through the funds they raise, while the prizes they could win could help change their own life. The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation is purchasing the prizes locally to help give back to the community and the businesses that often times show their support by donating to the Foundation.

As of today participants and sponsors have helped to raise just over $60,000 toward the $100,000 goal.
