The Saugeen Shores Police Service is warning all residents about the parent #SCAM after a victim lost a large amount of money.
They were contacted by someone claiming to be their daughter. A request for e-transfers was made in order to help purchase large items for the home.
Don’t reply to these text or phone messages. Call your loved one in order to verify it is not a scam.
With Ai becoming more prevalent, a voice on the phone can easily replicate a love one’s … always call the family member to verify the request for funds.
