To the Editor:
Port Elgin Beachers feel that historic Gobles Grove Beach deserves gold standard treatment not an archaic pipe discharging pollution over our beach and into the swimming water of Lake Huron.
Our Waterfront Master Plan called for no more stormwater outflows over beaches.
We have asked both the town and county to please begin discussion on making this happen. Overwhelmingly the public do not want pollution and erosion of Gobles Beach or any other beach.
The link below shows the cutting edge stormwater treatment schematic for the world famous Bondi Beach where they are doing it right.
