The third annual winter celebration was a special evening of holiday fun with music, crafts, storytelling and magic.

The smell of hot popping corn wafted through the Museum thanks to Southampton Rotary complemented by hot drinks and mini-hot chocolate drinks topped with marshmallows by Southampton’s Rabbit Dash.

In the filled-to-capacity Bruce Power Theatre,  a Victorian themed magic show was sold out.

Presented by the ever-popular Steve Baker Magician, the hilarious interactive show of magic combined with humour entertained both kids and parents alike.

Downstairs, in the OPG Gallery, there was music with the John Stewart trio, or through to the Marine Gallery, it was all aboard the H.M.S.General Hunter, for storytelling time with Mike Englehart [of the Bruce County Library Bookmobile], who captured imaginations with the everlasting story of the Grinch. The new Bookmobile also remained stationed in front of the Museum where books could be checked out for reading over the holidays.

Santa also took time out of his busy schedule to stop by for photos in the upstairs gallery, where there was also the chance to write a letter with Christmas wishes for Santa to take with him or to also create a craft.
