Bruce Telecom has been shortlisted for Tuned-In Canada: the CCSA Awards, a long-standing annual initiative which celebrates the contributions CCSA-Member independent communications companies make to their communities and for their customers.
Bruce Telecom is up against three other nominees in the category of Best story: giving back and Best photo: connecting Canadians.
The winners in each category are determined by nation-wide voting, which opens Thursday, March 18, 2021 and closes April 1, 2021.
If Bruce Telecom is the winner this year, they will be donating the $1,000 prize to WES for Youth, a local charity providing Wellness and Emotional Support for youth online.

Best Story – Giving Back. This category celebrates companies that are making a difference in their communities and Bruce Telecom is nominated for their Outdoor Learning Centres project, presented in partnership with the Municipality of Kincardine, Town of Saugeen Shores and the Township of Arran-Elderslie. The initiative was in response to COVID-19 to provide free Wi-Fi at various locations for the 2020/2021 school year, recognizing the importance of connectivity for online learning during the pandemic.
Best Photo – Connecting Canadians. This category celebrates outstanding on-the-job photography. The photo of cable splicer Vicki Guest shows her joyfully revealing dirt-covered hands in the ‘down and dirty’ part of the job. Vicki’s advice: Call before you dig!

Nation-wide online voting opens Thursday and takes place using SMS authentication. Voters can cast one vote per day for 15 days, or can deploy all 15 votes at once. Voting closes on April 1st . To vote, visit www.tunedincanada.com/register/ and follow the steps on the registration form.
