There were many Canada Day celebrations throughout the region.
In most communities, there were a wide variety of family activities for all ages.
South Bruce Peninsula postponed its Canada Day weekend fireworks in Sauble Beach and Wiarton due to recent dry conditions on the Bruce Peninsula.
Although the municipality announced earlier in June that the fireworks at Sauble Beach and Bluewater Park in Wiarton were being cancelled, there is the possibility that they could be rescheduled at a later date once the provincial ban designating the area as a restricted fire zone are lifted.
In the village of Tiverton, there was not only a wide variety of events that included a Lions Club brunch and Classic car show, there was also the annual Canada Day parade.
In Saugeen Shores, the celebrations were held in Southampton at the picturesque ‘flag’ at the bottom of High Street, with musical entertainment throughout the afternoon in addition to a Rotary BBQ.
