Canadian Tire moving to reduced hours

Tomorrow night, March 19th, will be the last late night opening (temporarily) for Canadian Tire stores in Canada.

Mike Mowbray, owner of Mowbray’s Canadian Tire in Port Elgin, says that the entire chain has made the decision to close earlier at 6:00 p.m. during the coronavirus situation.

“More people are deciding to stay home in the evenings during this extraordinary time,” says Mowbray, “and we also want to ensure the safety of our staff so, for the time being, we are going to close at 6:00 p.m.”

“Our staff however, will continue to provide the same friendly and helpful service every day that our community and customers have come to know,” adds Mowbray.
