CarePartners opens new location within Saugeen Shores Rexall Pharmacy

CarePartners and Rexall have begun their newfound partnership with the grand opening of CarePartners’ newest community nursing clinic. Situated within Port Elgin’s Rexall Pharmacy, this partnership represents the beginning of a concerted effort to provide the residents of Saugeen Shores with a surplus of health care options at a centralized, convenient location.

In attendance at the April grand opening, CarePartners CEO Linda Knight and Rexall Vice President of Operations Michael Helbrecht cut the ribbon alongside Saugeen Shores Mayor Luke Charbonneau to symbolize the start of a health care partnership to provide high-quality options in Saugeen Shores while laying the foundation for more Rexall-CarePartners locations to be considered in the future.

“CarePartners is a key partner for us at Rexall, as we both see immense value in providing quality care in our communities while prioritizing a patient-first approach to what we do,” said Nicolas Caprio, President of Rexall. “Providing patients with access to trusted and high-quality pharmacy and nursing services under one roof gives our Rexall family great purpose, and we’re looking forward to growing this offering to meaningfully improve health outcomes for the residents of Saugeen Shores.”

“We welcome this new partnership between Rexall and Care Partners as the first of its kind in Bruce County”, says Saugeen Shores Mayor Luke Charbonneau, “It is exciting to see that our local health care system is developing to meet the needs of our growing community. This new Community Care Clinic is one more health care option for our residents and visitors.”

“Through our incredible relationship with the HCCSS organization and now with Rexall, we are able to bring additional CarePartners services to another community in a big, big way.” said Linda Knight. “Providing the residents of Saugeen Shores with additional options for health care services and treatment, at the same location residents fill their prescriptions and buy their non-prescription medicines, is very exciting and is something we can all feel very proud of.”

This partnership provides a significant opportunity for both CarePartners and Rexall to provide supplementary health care services, within the existing pharmacy infrastructure. With Rexall providing pharmacy needs and various home and healthcare merchandise, CarePartners’ presence will allow for the residents of Saugeen Shores to benefit from various important nursing services, such as wound care and IV treatment, in the same place they fill their prescriptions and receive pharmacy services. Additionally, supplemental wound care materials such as gauze and bandages are conveniently placed in aisles closes to the clinic. The clinic receives referrals through HCCSS to CarePartners and is by appointment only as it is not a walk-in clinic.

Within the Rexall Pharmacy, the CarePartners Community Nursing Clinic is located at 455 Goderich Street, Port Elgin, ON. Featuring ample parking, and easy access, the CarePartners clinic is open seven days a week, providing nursing services from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Rexall’s hours of operation spanning from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
