The annual Labour Day parade held in Port Elgin (Saugeen Shores) on Monday, September 2nd (2019) was bigger than ever as representatives from many unions joined in the march.
The parade included pipe bands, unionists, union retirees, Shriners and members of the local schoolboard and political parties.

Marching along Goderich Street, the parade ended with a BBQ and speeches at the Unifor Family Education Centre at the south end of Port Elgin.
Among the speakers were Kevin Smith, President of the Bruce County Labour Council, Dave Trumble, Chair of the Labour Day Organizing Committee and Buzz Hargrove, former President of the Canadian Auto Workers Union (CAW).
