Celebrating Mothers – Chantry Island Cham-bettes to host an Afternoon Tea

The Chantry Island Cham-bettes are hosting an Afternoon Tea on Saturday, May 11th at 2:00pm at Bevin Hall in St. Paul’s Anglican Church Southampton.

The afternoon will include a traditional English tea complete with finger sandwiches, scones and deliciously decadent desserts (petits fours), as well as a silent auction, raffles and a costume jewelry sale.

This is an opportunity to celebrate Mother’s Day and visit with friends while helping the local women’s philanthropic service group, Chantry Island Cham-bettes.

The Cham-bettes are a not-for-profit, community based group of women who are dedicated to promoting the best interests of Saugeen Shores.

For over sixty-eight years, all funds raised through events have gone back into the community for worthwhile projects.

Tickets are only $30 (cash only) and can be purchased at Accents on Goderich Street in Port Elgin. Tickets are limited, so purchase early.

Join the Cham-bettes for an afternoon of tea and treats!
