CFUW presents Jennifer Armstrong-Lehman: Women and Politics

The Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Southport is hosting guest speaker Jennifer-Armstrong-Lehman: Women and Politics on Wednesday, May 8th at 7:00 p.m.

Armstrong-Lehman is a life-long student of politics with an extensive background in the political arena.  The founder of the non-partisan group, “Politics for Women”, it encourages more female involvement at every level.  She was recently appointed new Honorary Colonel for Canadian Forces Base Borden and is the first female in the position.

In her early career, Armstrong-Lehman served as a Foreign Service Officer in Southeast Asia and the Commonwealth and was also posted to the Canadian Mission to the UN in New York. She has taught university and college courses on Canadian government and international relations and, as honorary colonel, she will advise the Base Commander on matters of significance and also help to enhance the feeling of pride for serving members.

The evening event, sponsored by Ontario Power Generation (OPG), is open to the public by donation and is sure to be of interest to everyone.
