For more than 60 years, Chantry Island Cham-bettes, a philanthropic group of local women, have continued to not only raise funds but have continued to have fun doing it.
Funds are raised by the group through various events that include an annual Christmas Home Tour, Spring Garage sale, and many others. During the past two years during COVID-19, the Cham-bettes continued fundraising efforts virtually.
All funds raised by the group go back into the community through a variety of projects and causes, such as support for the local Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Food Bank and the Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey among others.
As they head into another year of FUNdraising events, the group inducted its new 2022-23 Executive on Tuesday, May 3rd.
