Changes being implemented due to Provincial COVID restrictions

During the Step Two of Reopening Plan where capacity and gathering sizes are limited,  indoor recreation and dining are closed and many are working remotely where possible, the Town of Saugeen Shores Municipal Office will continue to be open to serve the public. Appointments however, are preferred in order to limit the number of individuals in the office and to reduce wait times. Wearing a mask and following all public health guidelines when visiting the municipal office are required. Many services are also available online or by telephone. Please visit www.SaugeenShores.ca or call 519-832-2008 for more information.

In accordance with the new restrictions, the Town of Saugeen Shores will close all indoor sports and recreational facilities such as the arenas and Centennial Pool beginning January 5 until at least January 26. Indoor meeting and event spaces will also be closed during this period. All municipal registered and drop-in programs are cancelled or paused at this time. Those registered will be contacted with next steps or refund/credit options.

“As we implement these new provincial restrictions, I know how challenging and difficult they are for our businesses and families.” says Mayor Luke Charbonneau. “I know that Saugeen Shores residents will be there to support one another and to support local businesses as we make our way through the next few weeks.”

Businesses looking for support during this challenging time can visit www.SaugeenShores.ca/BusinessSupport for a list of local, provincial and federal resources or reach out to the Economic Development Officer at Heather.Hyde@SaugeenShores.ca. Businesses can also subscribe to municipal Economic Development Updates by visiting www.SaugeenShores.ca/Subscribe.
