There are many chapters in life from childhood through to adulthood, the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre (BCM&CC) is prepared for those ready to experience ‘Chapter 55, Recreation for Retirees’. Are you 55+ plus and looking for new and interesting recreational activities?
If so, this fun workshop series is for you!
The BCM&CC is holding a series of workshops entitled‘Chapter 55 Recreation for Retirees’. A committee of retirees has created ten workshops that highlight social, recreational and cultural activities that are available for retirees throughout Bruce County.
Each of the workshops has a theme such as art, health & wellness, music, and special guest presenters host them. Over the course of the workshops, attendees will sample a variety of activities helping them to discover new interests or maybe re-discover an old interest or hobby set aside while raising a family or concentrating on careers.
Throughout the ten weeks, participants will also receive information on what else is available in Bruce County making it easy to pursue those interests following the workshops.
Chapter 55…Recreation for Retirees began on Thursday, September 20th and will run each Thursday until November 22 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Participants are welcome to attend the full series or select only the workshops that they find of interest. These workshops are all free but pre-registration is required as space is limited and transportation can be provided for those requiring assistance.
program is funded by the Government of Canada’s New Horizon’s for Seniors Program.
