Chesley welcomed back one of her native sons, Brock Myles, who brought with him a very special icon – The Stanley Cup.
Myles is Equipment Manager for the Washington Capitals, the 2018 NHL Stanley Cup champions, but both he and his wife are former ‘locals’.
On display at the Chesley Community Centre, people lined up and waited to have their photo taken with the hockey icon.
Among those who were there was Grey-Bruce MP Larry Miller and his two granddaughters, Chesney and Shailan, both of whom are centres in hockey . “This is great that Brock would bring this back to his home town,” said Miller.
