Held at Saugeen Golf Club under flawless skies and impeccable weather, the 31st annual Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce Charity Golf Tournament had a capacity turn-out and had to add two teams to the already full roster, bringing the total number of golfers to 152.
The Tournament is the major fundraiser for the volunteer driven Crime Stoppers Grey Bruce organization that receives no government funding.
The community-based program works in collaboration with the public, the media, and police in a co-operative effort to solve crime.
Prior to the event, Crime Stoppers announced that this year, new Title Sponsors, Germania Mutual Insurance, Bayshore Broadcasting and MacLean’s Ale, were coming on board.

In addition to a full day of golf and dinner, there was also a silent and live auction that contributed to the FUNdraising.
At the end of the day, Crime Stoppers was the recipient of $25,000
Proceeds from the tournament support the essential crime investigation work that Crime Stoppers does to foster safe communities in Grey Bruce through cash rewards to those who anonymously provide tips that lead to arrests, often where drugs or stolen property is recovered.
