Expect to pay more for Sauble Beach parking

In a recent release, South Bruce Peninsula Mayor Janice Jackson announced that Sauble Beach is increasing parking rates effective June 1st.

According to South Bruce Peninsula Council, the increase is because it feels that parking has been underpriced in comparison to other beach towns and, in addition, the town is attempting to recoup legal fees as a result of litigation actions brought against it and that the town does not want to see local taxpayers assume.

The daily rate is $30 or $7 per hour in addition to resident and non-resident passes.  Seasonal resident passes remain at $50 per vehicle (no pro-rating) that can only be purchased by contacting the Town Hall at tracey.collins@southbrucepeninsula.com to arrange for payment and supply proof of residency.

Non-resident passes are $200 and can be purchased at any parking machines or online at www.mackaypay.com zone 3030 or by calling 844-334-7078.

The vehicle for a resident pass must belong to the resident and ownership is required.  The resident pass is available to trailer owners who have a seasonal contract in a South Bruce Peninsula park.
