Family Day a Carnival at Bruce County Museum

Have you ever wanted to attempt a Guinness World Record and become THE new record holder? Now is your chance!  Family Day, Monday February 17th, at Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre (BCM&CC) will be a fun-filled day for the whole family.

Join the Museum to make your debut at catching the most lemons while blindfolded. See if you are the fastest Mr. Potato Head assembler. How many pairs of underpants can you put over your pants in a minute? Family Day is your chance to find out!

You will not want to miss Canada’s ONLY 4 TIME Guinness World Record holding illusionist Lucas Wilson! Lucas holds many official Guinness World Records for fastest escape from a straitjacket – in chains and upside down, underwater and more! With these records and unique style of magic you won’t want to miss this phenomenal show at 1:00 p.m., followed by a workshop at 2:30 p.m. There is limited seating, to reserve a spot get a ticket from Visitor Services upon arrival, tickets will be available starting at 10:00 a.m. when the Museum opens.

The whole day is set to an old-time carnival theme with games, activities, and cash vendors. Maybe you are interested in learning more about your future, have your tea leaves read. Plus, the model train set will be running for your little and not-so-little train enthusiasts. There really is something that each member of your family will enjoy for this day of family. The Southampton Rotary Club will be serving up a delicious lunch BBQ. You can purchase treats and warm beverages from the Rabbit Dash booth.
