Museum March Break is always filled with Family Fun Days

Endless Fun and Curious Curiosities

March Break at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre is family fun time.

Baker Magic demonstrates the                 ‘magic’ of chemistry

On Tuesday, March 15th, Baker Magic (a.k.a. Steve Baker) razzle dazzled the audience of all ages in the Bruce Power Museum with his feats of magic.

With ‘tricks’ that appeared to be magic, Baker Magic brought science alive.  From gravity to pressure, chemistry to math, Baker Magic delighted the young and young-at-heart with his sleight of hand, while proving that science has a magic of its own.

Laughter filled the Museum as young students took part in the many interactive exhibits, visited the General Store where Program Coordinator, Evan Vatri, demonstrated kitchen items of bygone eras and climbed aboard the H.M.S. General Hunter warship of 1812 (replica).

Activities continue throughout the week with each day featuring something different.

First-come, First-serve

Also part of the March Break week was the Kidzone Discovery Day Camp geared for children ages 5-12.

Each day, they were invited to explore, create, and have fun at the Museum! The week filled with games, arts and crafts, experiments, special guests, time in the exhibits and fun outdoors is always a popular part of the March Break. Registration was required and the event filled up early.
