Young cyclists with their bikes decorated in fluorescent colours could hardly wait for sunset at the Family Glow Bike event hosted by the Town of Saugeen Shores.
It was a perfect night for riding on September 28th, as young cyclists cameout to Nodwell Park in Port Elgin to take part in the family event. The community event included a bike decoration station to ‘glow out’ bikes with Saugeen Track & Field volunteers, a BBQ by Southampton Rotary, a bike rodeo and obstacle course, a helmet fit and bike safety station by Martin’s Bike Shop of Southampton, family lawn games and, of course, what everybody waited for … the glow bike rides around the Nodwell Park track.
It’s never easy to predict a response to a first-time event but, this one was obviously a winner!
