‘Farm to Table’ a farm fresh al fresco experience

Mother Nature cooperated with a warm summer’s evening for the third annual ‘Farm to Table’ al fresco dining experience.

Surrounded by the green fields of Hi Berry Farm, 100 diners sat down on Saturday, September 15th, to enjoy an exquisite dinner of the freshest of produce from the farm topped off with Bruce County beef and local wines and craft beers.  The event was also a fundraiser to raise funds that will go toward new playground equipment for the proposed outdoor recreation complex being planned for Port Elgin.

Prepared by Ristorante Rosina’s Executive Chief Randy Felker and Sous Chef Jeff Orsztynowicz, the culinary experience included end of summer minestrone soups of fresh vegetables with whipped goat cheese, a salad of new potatoes and avocado topped with a Ribeye beef crusted with thyme and pink peppercorn accompanied with parsnip and sweet corn puree with oven-dried field tomato and smoked cheddar scallion and garlic infused demi-glaze.

Evening began with a charcuterie board of smoked delights
