The first recipient of the ‘Act of Kindness – I Made a Difference’ recognition pin was referred to us by a local resident who had her day made more positive thanks to Jared Kerr at Mowbray’s Canadian Tire.
While it may seem a small act, kindness comes in all forms.
Kerr, who is about to go off to his first year at Laurier University in Waterloo to study psychology, has worked at Mowbray’s Canadian Tire each summer for five of his teen years.
“We are so proud of Jared,” said Mike and Eleanor Mowbray. “Quite honestly though, it is not surprising that he would receive this as he is always going the extra mile and doesn’t hesitate to help out a customer.”
“I remember helping the lady with her license plate, but it was on my break anyway,” said Kerr. “It was nothing special, I was just helping her out.”
