Fun in a pandemic is what you make it

What do you do for fun in the middle of a pandemic?

If you’re retired pilot Bruce Durrer, you create your own outdoor curling rink.  The one-sheet rink is complete with lights for night curling and a scoreboard.

The targets were cut from plastic tablecloths and the rocks are ‘Betty Crocker’ Easy Seal containers weighted with cement. For larger views, Click on Images

While watering for a smooth surface, Durrer had to keep their dog Sambuca from walking on it but, living in Gobles Grove, what he didn’t expect was a fox trotting across the surface and breaking through the thin coat of ice that had formed.

Wife, Sally Kidson, the recent 1st place winner of the Creative Writing contest for the hospital fundraiser, says with a smile that “Bruce is always up to something to keep busy.”
