‘Get Ready to Turn the Next Page’ at the Bruce County Museum

There are only four sessions left in the popular ‘Chapter 55 – Get Ready to Turn the Next Page’ series at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre.

This series, presented by Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Programs,  focuses on hands-on senior activities and has featured everything from ballroom dancing to photography, cooking and more.

One of the popular sessions was facilitated by well-known local photographer, Jen O’Reilly, who took participants on a humour-filled travelogue through the many types of cameras, how to use their settings to advantage, lighting and  the many other facets involved in achieving good photos.

During intermission, Photographer       Jen O’Reilly (L) explains camera                                   settings

Each session in the program is lead by an expert in his/her field in a relaxed, learning environment.   The next four remaining sessions include:

  • November 1             Find your Inner Self: Meditation and Drumming
  • November 8            Paint In: Playing with Colour on Canvas (materials included)
  • November 15           Listen & Learn: A New Kind of Jam Session
  • November 22          Be Part of Your Community: Volunteer Opportunities
