Grey Bruce about to move to COVID Green Zone

Testing and case counts reported as of 23:59 hrs, Feb. 26, 2021:

As of Feb 16 Grey Bruce is in the Yellow Protect Zone in the Ontario COVID-19 response framework. Moving to Green- Prevent Zone, effective March 1st.

The regional-based COVID-19 Response Framework  uses a color-coded system for each health unit (Green – prevent, Yellow – protect, Orange – restrict, Red – control, Grey – lockdown) to determine safe reopening protocols. The change to green reflects a continuing trend towards lower case counts in Grey Bruce and over-all provincial trends identified in the province’s latest modelling data.

The Green – Prevent status includes standard measures that focus on education and awareness of public health and workplace safety measures; restrictions reflect a broader allowance of activities; and, highest risk settings remain closed.

One new case has been reported in the past 24 hours in Grey Bruce in South Bruce bringing the total of confirmed cases to 702 (one case transferred to another Health Unit) with 13 active cases.

·       29 active high-risk contacts
·       687 resolved cases
·       1 confirmed case(s) hospitalized
