Home Hardware Helps Hawks with playground project

Southampton Rotary Club and the G.C. Huston Public School community want to sincerely thank Jeff Gauthier and Sarah Sloan, owners of both Home Hardware stores in Saugeen Shores, for their very generous donation of $5,000 towards G.C. Huston’s Playground project.

Their contribution brings Southampton Rotary’s Playground fund up to $103,000 currently. When combined with the money the school has been saving from their fundraising over the years and other community donations, principal Hugh Morrison says they are now in very good shape to start the tender process. The Huston Hawks will be playing on a first-class play structure as soon as details for the construction are hammered out.

Sarah and Jeff comment “We are so happy to be a part of such great endeavour and can’t believe how quickly the community rallied around such an important project for the school! As parents of young children, we know how important having safe, accessible and FUN play equipment is and we look forward to seeing the project come together; We know it will add to the happy memories the students will have of GC Huston!”
