Saugeen Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, with just over 100 members, made its final donation of $20,000 to the recent Hospital expansion.
The donation was the last in the $100,000 pledge the Auxiliary made five years ago and was raised through tag days, bake sales, craft shows and golf tournaments, and despite not having the Gift Shop revenue stream.
Auxiliary President, Ann Veyvara-Divinski says that, “Members are very proud of the accomplishment because they can see the tangible results at the Hospital.”
Sally Kidson, Executive Director of Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation, and Chair, Jim Barbour, said “The accomplishment is phenomenal particularly given the fundraising obstacles that the Auxiliary faced.”
