Hospital Spring Fling weekend continues with Kids’ Day and a Guiness Book record attempt

Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation’s ‘Spring Fling’ weekend began with a bang as the Southampton Curling Club became a ‘Vegas’ style casino on Saturday night, May 27th.

The fun however doesn’t end there as the curling club then becomes a Kids’ Zone on  Sunday and an attempt to break the Guiness Book of Records for lining up cookies end to end.

More than 4,000 cookies ready to go …

From 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the Foundation hosts Kids Day with an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest line of cookies. Entry is by donation and includes access to the OPG kids zone on site that will offer face painting, balloon creations, games, crafts, magician/entertainment shows and music. Come out and see the attempt, possibly place one of the last cookies in the line and take a selfie at the Guinness World record attempt display and get your very own official participant certificate. Be a part of history in Saugeen Shores!

Of course, with all those cookies on site, milk and cookies will be the treat.

Everyone is invited to come out for this record-breaking attempt and family fun day in support of the local Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Funds raised from the weekend will go toward the purchase of an infant warmer for the ER and a CPR compression machine at Saugeen Memorial Hospital.
