The weather was spectacular as hundreds of union members and their families marched in the annual Labour Day parade in Port Elgin (Saugeen Shores) on Monday, September 4th (2023).
The parade, hosted by the Grey Bruce Labour Council, is held each year to celebrate the achievements of the union movement and also to recognize union retirees from years past.
Starting at Home Hardware parking lot in Port Elgin and marching to Maple Square Mall, participants and residents were then invited to a free lunch at the UNIFOR Family Education Centre (former CAW).
