Lakeshore Recreation Centre crash results in loss of sign

On September 25, 2020 at approximately 1:48am, the Saugeen Shores Police Service was dispatched to a report of a single motor vehicle roll-over collision on Goderich Street in Port Elgin.ย  Witnesses reported seeing a vehicle travelling northbound on Goderich Street at a high rate of speed and heard the vehicle crash.

The Saugeen Shores Police Service, Bruce County Ambulance and Saugeen Shores Fire arrived to find a 19-yr old Bruce County man trapped in a vehicle that had struck a business sign, causing the vehicle to roll a significant distance.

Saugeen Shores Fire conducted a difficult extraction of the male from the badly damaged vehicle and Bruce County Ambulance transported him to the Southampton Hospital for treatment. ย The male received minor injuries.

The 19-yr old Male is charged with Impaired Driving โ€“ over 80,ย  and has been released with a future Court Date.

The collision remains under investigation.
