July 1st Canada Day celebration cancelled again this year

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce (SSCC) has made the decision to alter the Canada Day celebration plans for a second year.

In order to keep everyone safe and healthy, the SSCC has decided to postpone Canada Day fireworks traditionally scheduled for July 1st. A new date for the fireworks once safe viewing and operations are possible may be selected.

In the meantime, the SSCC encourages residents and visitors to explore other Canada Day offerings in Saugeen Shores on July 1st.

Check out local restaurants for Canada Day specials and local businesses for Canada Day decorations and gear.

The Town of Saugeen Shores will be operating a ‘Rock the Shores’ celebration. Pick up a rock from the Visitor Information Centre to decorate and display down by the Big Flag in Southampton.
