Laurie Hazzard and the Huron-Bruce NDP officially launch campaign

Laurie Hazzard, NDP candidate for Huron–Bruce, officially launched her campaign in Goderich on Saturday, May 7.

“I’m honoured to be the NDP candidate for a place I’m proud to call home here in Huron–Bruce,” says Hazzard. “From making life more affordable to fixing our schools and hospitals, I am ready to work for the people of Huron–Bruce.”

In addition to the Huron–Bruce NDP team and community members, the event was attended by the Bayfield Ukulele Society who provided live entertainment.

Hazzard, a member of the club, joined in for a performance of Patsy Cline’s Walkin’ After Midnight. The campaign launch included a special guest, Vanessa Benoit, NDP candidate for Lambton– Kent–Middlesex.

“Laurie is the type of candidate who I wish I could vote for,” says Benoit. “She has the experience, knowledge, and the heart to win.”

The campaign office, located at 53 Hamilton Street in Goderich, is where the community can stop by to learn about the NDP platform, request a lawn sign, donate, sign up to volunteer, and chat with Laurie Hazzard.

“Whether you’ve voted for the NDP all your life or you’ve never before, visit us and see how we can work together to improve the lives of everyone in Huron–Bruce,” says Hazzard. The campaign office is open Monday-Saturday.
