The 2nd Annual Saugeen Shores Healthcare lottery is coming to a close in less than a week when the final 50/50 jackpot will be given away.
The current jackpot is an estimated $10,000!
Proceeds from the lottery will be used to purchase medical equipment for the hospital. Currently, the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation is raising $80,000 for four new defibrillators that are needed to replace aging equipment at the hospital.
Tickets for the final draw are still on sale and can be purchased at the following outlets:
- Port Elgin: Mowbray’s Canadian Tire, Ralph’s, Tiny’s ATV and Motorcycle Repair
- Southampton: Square Deal Neil’s, Kristen’s Pharmacy and Home Hardware

Ticket deadline is 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23rd for in-person sales and 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23rd for phone sales.
The final draw will be made on 98 the Beach during the morning show around 8:40 a.m.
